Trouble codes 22, 24, and 41. Please help

I have an intermittent problem I am trying to solve. 1992 Camry XLE 2.2 4 cylinder. Runs fine and then starts running really bad all of the sudden. Hesitating, sputtering and trying to stall. It blows smoke out of the tailpipe when this happens that smellslike raw fuel. Then it will run fine again. No commonality, just happens randomly.
According to the Toyota Manual, when it sets these codes simultaneously, to check ifthe E2 (sensor ground) may be OPEN.
Where is the E2 (sensor ground) located? Has anyonre else had this issue? What more can I check? Please help!

The location for these terminals is behind glove box. E2 does not actually ground to the chassis. It is the return wire for coolant temp (EFI), intake air, EGR, MAP and TPS sensors. E21 is also connected to this circuit return circuit.

If you have the manual there is a procedure to set the troubleshooting system and then start pulling and pushing on items to see if a code trips.

OK...First I removed the positive battery terminal to erase all the codes and start fresh. Ran the car and after about 7-8 minutes it started to stumble and miss, then straightened out again. Checked the trouble codes and code 22 is the only one showing up now. Tried wiggling and tugging on all the sensor connectors for momentary interuption...nothing alse. Checked out the Coolant Temp Sensor (Code 22) Normal.
Any body have more suggestions?

Did you test the coolant temp sensor? How about the wires from the ECU to the sensor for shorts or bad connections?

I checked out the Coolant Temp sensor and it checks OK. Also checked out the connections back to the ECU and could not find anything wrong there either.
I took of, cleaned and reattached ALL the ground connections under the hood and am trying that to see if it does anything.

Upon a deeper investigation, it was a bad coolant temperature sensor. It would freak out when it got hot and cool down enough by the time I would test it. I disconnected it, put in a variable resistor and it solved the problem. I replaced the CTS and now it runs great.
Thanks to all who helped me.
