Dull hood on the 94 Coupe

The 94 Coupe I recently purchased from Bigbird has/had a very oxidized hood. It must have been damaged and painted in the past, but not clearcoated.

Today I was able to attempt to rectify the the problem. I've had LIFE ISSUES since the day after purchase,(long story) but today I installed Damons old head unit that Bird was nice enough to include, and installed the rear seat backs, that weren't! (Bird had a problem with a vacuum) I had to buy all new bolts!

I used Maguires cleaner wax, and the elbow on the hood. Lots of red paint came off on the towel and I reapplied the the wax twice, then followed that up with Eagle one Nano wax. It turned out pretty good! Here's a few pics! Can't wait to polish the entire car!!

I still have to install the passenger door handle, and there's a few other things I need to work on, but shes coming around! It'll be cherry one day.......unless the wife kills me first!

Here it is before

And after the rubbin!!

hey Joe, polish it like 3 more times(as well as the bumper) and ull be at the primer.

ur gonna have to paint it man, even if u clear coated it the oxidation is too bad to just cover up. i polished it every 2 months and it kept goin back to the haze. i thought u were sellin the lights back to Gino?
