ok coilovers. where is the cheapest place to get some? i was lookin on andysautosport.com and they had some but for like $1800 lol or wheres a place that i can get a pretty cheap but good spring and shock set up?
and youre ready to rock .... if you decide you liked it, you could always upgrade to high-quality coilovers (i wouldnt put K-Sport Kontrol Pros under that kind of stress, but thats JMO ... i would get one of their upper-level models, or another brand like D2/JIC/etc.
Im not sure if you know or not but K-Sports are repainted/rebadged D2's.
But then again ive never had any promblems with mine and i run them pretty hard.

Personally I already knew about the quality of the coilovers but what other choice does a camry owner have since the JIC works good for the gen 4 not the gen 3 without modifying it.
Too bad no one gave me any info on where to find strut housings for my camry since I wanted to try the koni reds and compare it to the k-sport coilovers and see if the difference was big. Koni is something no one can argue about when it comes their quality in shocks. They are far above kybs and tokicos in shock performance.

Bilstein & Koni are the only options if you want to turn your Camry into a track whore, imo
Tokico is best for street/track combo or hard street driving

Like I said I wanted to compare the koni's vs the k-sport coilovers to see how it goes since the reliablity of the koni's compared to k-sport coilovers is like comparing a Toyota vs Mitsubishi...
Besides the koni reds are adjustable so thats a big plus. Since the k-sport on full stiff "should" be stiffer than the koni on full stiff I dont run it no where near that so having the koni's could be more for me especially since it will last longer than the k-sport's and it has a lifetime warranty vs 1 year warranty.
The funny part is that koni reds are there less racy setup and the yellows are the more racy ones too. I find it funny that many praise the coilover sleeves like they were the best on the honda forums but it's only because of the great quality of the koni shocks that it masks the sleeves shortcomings. Rock them with kybs and will hear many cry out how horrible it is lol.

There is no way in hell a strut is gonna bend like that just driving the car very agressive, he had to have hit something, and of course if you hit something, something is gonna give.

Yea I agree on that no matter what crappy coilovers you put on that shit cant bend like that unless he was doing some radical shit which he shouldn't even be putting on "budget" coilovers like the D2/k-sport he should be paying top dollar for somethign really race worthy!!!
it looks like the car is setup for drift ... thats not the first case that a low-end coilover has bent or broken during a Drift/AutoX event, either - ive seen it locally
most track-day whores will tell you that a D2/K-Sport Coilover is really meant for looks, not performance .... idk about K-Sport's GT Pro models though

I have actually OWNED K-sport coilovers and though they never made it on my car, I can tell you right now the quality is top notch... they arent a joke. You arent going to hurt anything by autocrossing on them and the car will handle worlds better than with just drop springs and struts. I had both the tein/tokico and the JIC full coilovers on the solara and the difference is unbelievable- makes the other suspension feel stock. Its a decent improvement to go springs and struts, but coilovers blow everything out of the water.
That being said, get the K-sports. there really are not any other coilover options for the gen 3 and the are definately the smartest choice.
