is there any diffrences with the 04 3mz and the 96 1mz knock sensor?
i'm using the 04 sensors now. i'm only getting a error with the bank one sensor. (p0325)
so knock issue (sounds like it might or could be exhaust leak)
bad sensor
or sensor mismatch.
3mz sensors and 1mz are not the same. The 1mz screw into the block and the 3mz sit on a bolt that screws into the block..... So which one are you using?
Also, I see under your avatar it reads you have the 3mz in your gen3... or is that just wishful thinking so far? Any pics of your process?
Why use the 3mz sensor if you are using a 1mz ecu? The 1mz Sensors fit into the 3mz block.
well when it was being put together it was wishful thinking that the 3mz sensors would work about the same. all wire connectors hooked in together so we weren't too concerned.
the main thing that confuses me is it is only getting an error with the bank 1 sensor. maybe i can do tony's trick (single relocated sensor) and run it off only the bank 2 sensor........
only other issue is an exhaust leak and that annoying p1780 code.

I would definately do the relocation of the the sensor..... Any pics or vidoes?? How does the car pull?
Does anybody know here if a 1mzfe mainfold fit on a 3mzfe.
Why i ask this, i thinking to buy ( next year) a lexus or camry with the 3mzfe and i want to keep my supercharger. (rx300 or rx330 etc..)
yes the 1mz manafold fits 3mz. but the 3mz is dbw. so your going to have mad drive issues setting it up. the tb dont carry over. oh and if you can i'm willing to shell out a few bucks to borrow the pully bracket.
