3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Ok so I'm a member of another forum. It's not even a car forum, and I posted a picture of my Camry. I was told my car looked cheap as shit, and that a car from 1985 looks better. Really, does anybody think the Camry interior looks cheap? My friend told me it's plain looking, which translate into cheap. Yeah it's plain, but that is kinda the point. The Camry is an ergonomic masterpiece. Nothing in my car is cheap. BTW, this kid thinks Land Rover's are like gods from heaven.

Land Rover are supposed to be good off-roading, but that kid sounds like a dumbass. You assumed he meant plain to be cheap. Also since when do fellow forum surfers have that much clout in your opinion. Oh, and I must say that it depends upon who the owner is and how the car is taken care of. You also have to take into consideration what the other person is accustomed to, maybe Ferrari's, although this guy sounds like a dumbass.
If you like your car just chill and don't give a shit what he thinks...land rovers, pffffffff
Haha... my car by no means is a... Lexus, but cheap? Hardly! This kid had a Land Rover that had a meeting with a deer. I'm not going to say his car is ugly as shit and looks like a fridge on wheels only because I have more respect that than.

Charley
Yeah and apparently the Honda Accord is cheap too. I mean, the two benchmarks in the class which have been on top for years are suddenly cheap? His mommy drives a Range Rover Sport, daddy has a Touraeg, and he is getting a Discovery II. They pay for all his shit too, haha. Whatever.

Landrovers have their place but really the 1980's and 90's models found that place shuttling from a nice warm garage to a nice warm dealership bay getting various quality control problems fixed. And they were an ergonomic nightmare. The only people that hyped them up were the so-called "automotive journalists" who had to be bribed with fancy "test tours" in wine country.
LR is more of marketing phenomenon with those overspending pith-helmeted safari adventurers who like to drive to the mall. At least the Toyo Landcruiser/4-Runner folks know that their vehicle has practical diesel versions with real roll down windows and five speed transmissions.
Nothing plain about Toyota. It's just simple usable design that invites you into your car or truck every time. You feel at home in a Toyo right away. Can LR owners say that?
I mean all those tough trouble spots in the world. They use Land Rovers there right? Look at the brand, it's almost always a Toyota.
