3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was thinking about buying some new alloy wheels for my Gen 4 since I'm rockin' those steel rims and hubcaps right now. Unfortunately I bought tires about 3 months ago for the steel rims so now I feel like I need to keep using those tires and just buy new 14" alloy rims. I want to get the stock 14" Camry alloys but they are pretty expensive and hard to find. So I was thinking about buying some aftermarket wheels but I wasn't sure if they would look ridiculous with the big sidewall. Looking into these rims:
SportMax 020
Akuza 372
MBMotoring Seven X
Those are what I found for decent prices on ebay.
In the spring I will be getting 17" or 18" rims with new tires. I was planning on using the tires on now for winter.
I would suggest get the first one since a lip makes the rim look even smaller and you don't want that since you already at 14" and the first one has the spokes going all the way out to make it look bigger than normal which is a plus at 14" size and it's pretty simple which a winter setup should be well in my opinion.
check around for what yore about to pay for rims, you might find a wheel and tire combo in a dif size you like better, im looking ot get 17s tires and all mounting hardware and accesroies for 700...i know discount tire has some smaller sized rim deals for less then 400...
also check craigslist where youre at, i have found so many deals on there, set of 18s with tires for 500, and on andon...just never have cash when i find deals....if yor were in houston i could get you a killer deal on some 19s
Guys he just said he already bought 14" tires so he's trying to find a set of 14" rims to get away from the steelies and make use of the bought tires, he mention that setup will be for winter and was planning to buy bigger rims/tires in the spring.
Like I said before the first one out of that selection is the best one and if you find others update the thread and Im sure others will help on which is the best 14" wheel you posted.

I can tell you right now, if you get 14" rims you will regret it.
If it doesn't snow too much where you live and the new tires you bought are decent M+S that will do good in wet and mild snowy conditions, consider using them as winter rims, and buy bigger rim and tire combo for summer.
Well, I'm pretty set for when I get something thats gonna be a bigger size (17"-19" not sure). I work at a firestone and we sell quite a few rim manufacturers so I get dealer discount and 50% off the tires I'm going to buy.
