New engine

Check this out. my Dad just got me a new engine, well new to me
I'm the process of changing all the gaskets and seals. Take a look
(what else would you consider doing to this engine while its apart? I was thinking of a port but it looks like everything lines up with the gaskets pretty good)

yeah, thats a hunk of junk ... you should just dispose of it by sending it to me

btw, dont scratch any of the internals or let them collect dirt/dust

yea its in pretty good condition. looks like the last owner took very good care of it. One thing that conerrns me though, the cylinder wall looks all scratched up, is that something I soulhd worry about.

how bad are the cylinder walls? its probably just wear and tear since the engine is at least 13 years old ... i wouldnt be worried unless there are noticeable grooves

They're very small scratches. No grooves or nothin. I ran my finger around the wall and didn't feel anything. Whats confusing is that on my current engine the walls are fine and I been abusing it alot and no scratches.................................

dont forget to hone the cylinders

do a 5 speed swap while ur at it.

bigbird, what do you mena by hone the cylinder? and yea I was thinking about the swap, but it depends on if I have the money or not.
