3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was finishing my christmas shopping, unaware that the most devilish snowstorm in years would hit today, should've checked in with the news. Snowstorms don't bother me much normally cause the Camzilla is alright in the snow but what happened is visibility was NULL and I plowed through a 3 foot wall of snow that was sitting in the middle of an intersection at about 20mph, the car didn't jump but the hood and windshield were sweeped full of snow for a second and of course there was some scraping underneath, then I got on the highway and everything was alright visibility wise.
I checked the car for a minute when I got home, bumper is not cracked and everything looks good but I'm a little worried, should I be? Anybody had a similar experience and got problems afterwards?
This picture was taken roughly 1 minute after I got home, the front window is already covered and it's 3:45 pm, look how dark it is...The camera doesn't show it but the winds are also pretty crazy.
Have a nice day...

Wow that crazy, in just a couple of seconds you got that much snow on your car!! WOW!
Umm ive had no experience like that but if it make you happy, on thursyda driving home form school my car was covered in dirt/snow/rain by stupid people driving big cars and i was blind for about 2 seconds, four times. I was scared! I though i would have lost control of the car since i couldnt see where i was going nothing happened to my car though. If i were you, i wouldnt worry, seems like the snow didnt enter the engine bay, if it did it probably just melted by the radiator, no worries

Yeah it's insane, you can see two of my footsteps in front of the car from where I checked on the bumper, they were almost filled up after I ran inside to grab the camera...

I just got back from picking up the fiance from work. wheww! nasty outside. Car did well, for a camry with no ABS and all season tires. About 4" of powder on the roads.
From experience the only thing I'd possibly worry about would be the exhaust and maybe some of the plastic covers underneath. Chances are unlikely you did anything to her unless the snow was chunky(icy). Seeing as you just drove in the same storm I did, I'm sure you're fine. Think you're going to get the storm worse though, we had a mix for a while.
edit fresh pic:

The car is stuck I can't get it out of the driveway now. Lateral winds have blown snow underneath the car and it won't move, I don't have any sand or kitty litter. We have a guy that opens up our driveway with his tractor, I'll have him yank my sorry ass out of there tomorrow.
It's actually the first time I ever get a Camry stuck that good in 3 years though.
P.S.:Rocking back and forth with an auto tranny SUCKS.
