Are you saying you have a turbo Camry and need to tune the ECU?

Or are you asking if there is some ECU chip that feels like a turbo?

What engine?

there are no chips avalible. u have to do a stand alone or get somthing like an SAFC. if u have the V6 then your 94 is the only engine that you can put an ignition booster(HKS DLI) on because of the configuratuion of the ignition system.

well every one i know on TN and solaraguy who tunes their engines including me uses an safc. otherwise they use an engine management system. The safc is pretty much universal but has extra goodies for VTEC YO.

the one guy ive talked to about the ignition booster is tonythetiger, hes one of the experts when it comes to modding these things. he does use one on his redicously modded 94 1mz and unless i missunderstood him, had one on his car when it ws N/A. i imagine that it will not give to much of a gain, but im not sure. i just know it will only work on the 94 and that it works. is it worth it, if your gonna turbo then yeah. PM tony about it. he gave me lots of good info when i was asking.

there is NOTHING else. it kinda sucks but unless u send the ecu out to have it reflashed(which u really dont need) then thats it.

Where in Minnesota are you located? Have you started a turbo build yet, or is it a plan right now?

I could be wrong but other than myself I don't think there is another turboed 1mz Camry in the states other than mine (and soon to be yours). Atleast, not one that's known here at ToyotaNation. The only one known outside of the state's is TonyTheTiger's in Canada  , I'm sure you know all about it.

Tell us more about your plans.

Nice. +1 on it being a coupe. Tony and I both have sedans. Are you going to intercool it? How many PSI do you plan on running?

I'm trying to go with a stock sleeper exterior. Prob start at 3-4 psi, and tune it up. Are you running stock motor and tranny with 12 psi, or did you build it up? How long have you had it turbo'd? That is a decent sized one. Does it lag at all? I'm still looking for a low-end power adder... something to improve launching.
Wow, you majorly lucked out. I'll try to measure my intercooler for you tomorrow. Mine's chrome, but I would've taken a blackened one if I had the choice... I didn't really think about it at the time to be honest with you. I guess you've never seen my car, but it looks completely stock on the outside as well. Well, minus the intercooler. I even have the stock muffler on there... for now atleast. My motor is completely stock along with the tranny. Right now I've got some boost leak issues so it's lagging like hell and only building 6-8psi (10+ on a cold day ). Some people say I'm insane for running that much, other say it's perfectly fine. I'm not going to lie, it's obviously a risk, but once you pop you just can't stop. My advice, if you want to stick to 3-4psi, don't turn it up to 6-8 see how it is because you WILL NOT turn it back down, haha. But yeah, back to lag, it does, although I'm still blaming that on my boost leak. To be honest, my turbo is probably a size too big, but it certainly gets the job done. Wanna improve launching? Get a high-stall torque converter. Not that I have one, but I sure as hell would love one. Have you seen all of Tony's vids?

Edit: Oh yeah... you asked how long... 5 months ish.

Maybe down the road after I graduate from college, I might buy a new daily driver and keep the Camry as a boost mobile. It would be the only one like it, a nightshadow blue coupe with a turbo 1MZFE.
