1. Don't know what the normal EGTs would be for a 5S-FE. Monitoring A/F ratio with a wideband O2 is more accurate though.

2. SAFC is universal, it can be installed on any car.

thanx abunch

EGTs are tricky....as 88LE said first dial in you A/F ratios and then your EGTs shoudl fall in place.

The SAFC shold have no problem running on the 5SFE just make sure you know all the correct wires that you are taping into or cutting. I would advise on picking up a Harness Patch from www.autosportwiring.com so that you can wire it into that on your workbench and then make it a real plug n play application.

That's ingenious! Wish I had know about this before!

yea, after talking with the guy a few times I was finally able to figure out that one of the harnesses he made was a direct fit for the Camry (he had no idea) so he updated the website and added us to his catalog. Definitely worth the $100. It'll save so much time and headache.

FYI: Running 8 psi and an AFR of anywhere from 8.6 to 12.0, I would see EGT's of around 1400 being measured near the end of the manifold, just before the turbo.

EGT's can be a little misleading. The amount of the engine load affects the EGT a lot...not just RPM and AFR.

It's not really that hard to wire the S-AFC II to the 5S, just get a pinout and go to town. I did mine with the harness in the car (disconnected from the ECU). It took a couple hours because I did it in an open garage in the middle of winter. If you do it with it all attached, be prepared to use a razor to splice wires.
