In the next couple weeks I am going to get my timing belt changed at my local dealership. However, I am wondering if I might be able to watch them work because:
1. I hate just giving my keys to some stranger who is going to rip my car apart, so I would like to watch.
2. I would like to see how they do this procedure so I might be able to do it again in the future.
So if anyone can tell me if this is possible, that would be great.

Thanks for any help
I'm not sure.. I never took my car to the dealership so I'm not sure how that works out. But I totally understand how you feel about just handing the keys over LMAO!

I bet they wouldn't let you, most likely because of liability if you got hurt somehow. I'm sure if you brought it to say, a family owned shop, then they might let you.
Thanks for the info everyone, I will most likely just ask the day I bring it in. The only reason I trust this dealership is that the previous owner had all the cars work done there and he highly recommeded them. And marc780, thanks for the links but a job like this job is just a bit advanced for me and I really don't want to mess up a very important part.
