Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
my local dealer has serviced one with over 400,000 miles .... they are known to go above and beyond 200,000 miles without problems if they are maintained well, some even to 300,000

The 96 has 130,000 and the 94 152,000! All old cars need repairs eventuallly! I do see alot of gen3/3.5 still on the road tho, so they seem to keep going and going..but I wouldn't call them bulletproof! The 96 is perfect right now...the 94 as a few issues...but I'm working on it!
I plan on keeping my two forever! They will be repaired as needed.

I've got a '96 camry and mine has 211k on it, still running strong! I broke two motor mounts LMAO that I need to get fixed, other than that runs like a charm.

weak spots: radiator, distributors, driver's window regulator, struts with strut mounts, front rotors
That's about it. 3 of those items are "regular maintenance" though. Distributor is pretty inexpensive (my factory one did last 170k miles). The window regulator is expensive, but there are aftermarket alternatives for a fraction of the price. And a window is never going to stop a car from running!
"Bulletproof"? I don't know about that.......but they are really good cars with fewer problems than most of its contemporaries.
