Gen4 Keyless Entry / Remote Starter DIY (Illustrated)

Hi all, this is my DIY for installing a keyless entry / remote starter on a Gen 4 Camry. I installed one on our 1997 Camry and took pictures throughout. Happy Installing!

It would definitely be similar, although I am not sure how similar. You may be removing slightly different components to get access to all this stuff on a Gen 3, and you may have different colors/locations for the wires on a Gen 3, but you would still be doing the same essential things as on a Gen 4 (or any car for that matter). Figuring out what to remove to access this stuff is not hard at all, just pay attention to how it came off like anything else.
