3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
WRX heavily modded, S13 built for drifting, a lowered somewhat modded civic vs a beat up i4 camry got raped today. That i4 camry was mine. =\
Just wanted to say cuz damn. I apparently offended some racers today, and paid the price, hard.

First off, you shouldn't race, but I know people get caught up in it, and I am guilty myself of doing some stoplight drags, but, I must agree, stay within your leauge so you don't embarass yourself too much. You should've taken the civic though...
Im glad to see this start getting enforced. Those threads about the street racing videos was SCREAMING 'LOCK ME!' I cant believe they went as long as they did.

do not waste your gas... the gen 3 5sfe should be used for nothing more than getting groceries, trust me and keep the discussion of street racing to a minimum- it really isnt smart.
dont even bother....
camrys arent ment to be fast....theyre made to be comfortable, reliable, efficent people movers...
im 19, and ill occasionally hit it in my SE on the the freeway and my camry will get out of its own way, but its not what id define as fast...
dont try and show off speed in a camry....it really isnt worth it....unless youre sporting a gen 6 with a 2gr-fe or a gen 4 supercharged 1mz that is....and those are only what one would call quick for a camry
I remember once racing a bmw with my old I4 camry for thirty seconds or so. The harmonic balancer came off the very next day and the timing belt broke within a month..
