Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have had 3 Camrys
1 green 1992 LE
1 white 1994 LE
my current one a 1994 V6 XLE
None of the hoods stayed damn open cause of the ...... damn forgot the word. but yall know what im talkin about anyway, think ima replace them so i dont damage my head any more holdin the hood with it lol
i had a 95 camry sedan and now have a 95 camry coupe, both of which have tempermental struts.
they work, but only when they want to. i've narrowed it down to various humidity and temperature changes (no joke). if i need it opened for a long time with no worries, i just shove in an old broom handle.

lol the support rod on my gen4 brake when i was trying to get ice off of it last winter so i put on the strut thangs from a gen5 camry and they work good
I believe only one side works for me. I've been wanting to replace them with NRG carbon fiber hood dampers (print I believe) but I've only seen it for various Hondas and other vehicles. There are none for Camrys.
My hood has probably been popped open, stayed opened, and closed for more times than anyone else who drives a Gen3 Camry...ROFL
I guess some of you guys are either unlucky and got a bad batch of hood struts, or perhaps hood struts needs regular "exercise" to keep them mint...haha
