Fixing your brake system is pretty straightforward except for the ABS control module, if you have that. Remember, your brake system is not something that you want to have a problem with so you need to have good mechanical skills and you need to be meticulous. Trace down the leak and review the repair explanation in the manual(s). If you are comfortable with the repair, do it. If not, take it to a pro. The on-line manual at the top of this forum is very thorough. Chilton and Haynes also put out good repair manuals. I would use a repair manual to present step-by-step instructions and use the suggestions and DIY posts here to familiarize yourself with the process. It isnt rocket science but it can be a life or death repair. Be conscientious and you will be fine.
If you do have ABS brakes remember that you bleed them differently than the older brake system. There are repair kits for the slave cylinders but the cost of a replacement cylinder isnt a lot more. If youre going to need to bleed your system consider going ahead and swapping out the fluid as well.
