I know that there is a bad history here but I am looking for some help in regards to my predicament and I need advisement. I have Installed the header & downpipe with a straight pipe exhaust system which is WWWWWAAAAYYYYYYY to loud! I have spoken to my local professional exhaust installer (Custom Exhaust Works) and they are offering $120 for the 26 inch resonator with install which considering the fact that I cant weld worth a crap I believe it is a good price.

Now to the matter at hand: By installing this Magnaflow resonator will I gain any back pressure, and how much quieter will my exhaust be because of one? Also by having the setup on my exhaust the way that I do am I losing HP & Torque?

I would greatly appreciate any help given.

ull prolly feel little change in power, maby a slight increase in low end and a slight decrease in high end. and it should quiet the exhaust down quite a bit. what muffler do u have?

Just a Ractive Stainless Sports 4inch silenceable muffler nothing special I want to put on a magnaflow sport compact 4 inch round one I hear that they produce a lower exhaust tone. So by what you are saying is that if I DO INSTALL the resonator I will get some HP & Torque while lowering the tone and lowering the decible?
