You should get a light and try to find out where the leak is ....might be a hose or something. The thing about coolant and moisture being inside the passenger compartment is that after a while, your headliner will start to fall, due to the effects of the moisture on the adhesive, as well as electrical contacts and components starting to fail as a result of oxidation and corrosion.

its not the compressor that I am concerned about its the AC CONDENSOR unless that is a different name for it then I apologize im still learning stuff day by day. Well if your condensor hasnt been replaced then your AC Condensor could be fouled in which case you wold be getting that nasty smell and moisture in your cabin.

I think you might be talking about the ac evaporator because that is what sits in the cabin with the car! the condensor is located outside the car infront of the radiator. thats cool we all have to learn some how!

My apologies it is the evaporator im not very good with coolant and Ac systems I primarily focus on intake, fuel delivery, and exhaust as I have plenty of experiences first hand.

This is a fairly labor intensive repair. With that in mind vs. the cost of the heater core, I would only use a new heater core for this repair, IMHO. This is not a repair you want to do over again.

Between now and when you fix it, by-pass the heater core by splicing the two coolant lines going into the cabin. Usually, you can remove the two rubber hoses going into the cabin and use a third piece of hose to connect the two coolant pipes together. Keeps the coolant out of the interior until you fix it.

Sometimes eBay has heater cores for sale. Both new and used. This will be a pretty labor intensive job.

my problem now is that my carpet is wet full of coolant, and on top of that the claps that hold my heater core together have been over streched and is no longer holding the pipe to the heater core, and the dealer has't been able to locate the clamp that came off the car.
