The Retrofit Begins...

Look what I got from ebay for $130...

After the disection...

I think it was good deal. Projectors, shrouds, wiring, light rings ("angel eyes"), and fiber optics for the light rings.

Pretty sweet huh?

Also, has anyone ever used the light rings in a retrofit? In any case, I'll give it a try. Might as well use them since I have them, right?

It looked like some kind of fire/heat damage, or something like that. Doesn't matter to me anymore. After I cut them open, and gutted them, I tossed the housings.

It looks like the seller tried to take the headlights apart using the oven, but with this type of headlights the oven does not work. They use a rubber sealant instead of nice butyl sealant. My guess is that they burned the headlight in the oven. Any way that is excellent price for those headlights. Usually only projectors themselves cost $130.00.

Well, start being jealous, because Greg just finished my new, clear gen3.5 lenses(1st ones ever). By my measurements the projectors with shrouds will just fit. It'll be a bit tight, but they will fit.
