Suspension inquiry--junked car

First I want to apoligize to those of you whom I've talked with over PM and have not been able to get back with. Though it is not an excuse, last year was very hectic and I am sorry for you kindly holding off for me but I could not follow through with requests such as pics and the like.

Is it possible to take off the struts and springs and leave enough on the car to be able to move it? (don't have anything to put in place of them)I'm asking because I want to start stripping my gen 3.5 of sellable parts and then sending the rest to the junkers.(background: front end damage last february)

if you remove your struts and springs, youre going to have one HELL of a time trying to move the car anywhere ....

i would advise that you either get junkyard suspension to put in its place, or to remove that stuff last....

If you pull the struts and springs I would expect the wheels would pivot up enough to let the tires drag on the wheel well. If you are real cautious I would think that you could temporarily replace them with a length of 2x4 or pipe that would keep the axle stationary. However, it's going to really screw up the steering and tracking. It is not going to meet the definition of safe and definitely not for use at speed or in traffic.

No, the only way this car is gonna get moved anywhere is by flatbed I guess.

Is it possible to just find any old messed up struts and put them in just for the ability to move (push) it around? Or springs?

I was thinking if I found someone local, I could just take theirs.
