Need Advice - Parting out Supercharged '99 Solara SLE V6

Mybad if this is against the rules or some shit, i just need some quick advice. I've got a 99 Solara thats been giving me problems.

I had a buddy install a used engine after the oil pump gave up on the last one and it blew up. About 30k afterwards, it began acting up. Codes being thrown here n there, shifting hard, all sorts of shit. I'd keep dumping money into it but unfortunately we never got things back to normal and the ol' Solara just recently took another dump; this time I have no intention of fixing her, it's time to tear the thing apart.

I'm curious if any of you are interested in these parts and if they would be worth the time to tear the car up. Or should I just get rid of the thing? It's an SLE, the engine was replaced about 10k ago and had around 30k on it when removed from the donor car. The computer is giving multiple misfires on cyl. 4 and there is a funky-ass metallic noise... I have no idea WTF happened, but at least it's not blown like the last engina with the shot oil pump.

The transmission got about 30k on it as well. Yeah, the trans went to shit one day around 150k. So I installed a rebuilt one. The car is up to 180-something on the odo now.

There's also a 2nd Gen. TRD/Kazuma supercharger in it. Had it installed around 130k (so what?) so she's got around 50k. This also came with an upgraded TRD (Says it on a big fat sticker) strut tower brace that will clear the blower. The OEM one has teh ghey, this thing kicks ass.

I appreciate any feedback.

-Vin

edit: 1/8/08

The car is at my buddy's shop right now and will be coming home this afternoon. I will take a bunch of pictures as soon as possible so anyone interested can inspect what i've got.

You shouldn't have any trouble selling that s/c.

It's also got KYB shocks, but that's about it. It made enough power for me with the stock blower setup and I wanted to remain within the designed operating parameters for when the day came i might have to sell the thing.

FYI, it's a whole kit. Blower/integral intake manifold, pulley system, piggyback computer. Obviously, this is an Auto (SLE) and it includes the required piggyback computer. The Auto trans can't take full boost on the 1-2 shift and that is the only difference I know of between the two kits.

Everyone - I appreciate the good feedback. I'll keep everyone posted when i've got the thing in pieces and i'll be sure to post in the classifieds here.

Thanks
-Vin

Thanks for the leads, i'll post something in the Solara forums alerting them to this thread as well as solaraguy.com.

Regarding the colors, it's kinda fugly. Sanddust(i think thats what it was called) with beige leather.

Just a pic to show that it's being worked on

I just got the car back a few hours ago and have begun stripping it. Here is just a simple picture of the blower as removed from the car, sitting on my bedroom floor.

I'll have everything cleaned up, organized and with photos within a day or two. I'm also working on my busted land rover so time is kinda tight.

So far, here's what i'm pulling from the car:

Engine
Trans
Supercharger
Strut bar
Windshield (it was just put in a month ago so im takin it back)
Window switches/motors/rails
Spoiler

I already told someone in a PM that i'm gonna be asking high for the supercharger, but everything else I want to get rid of for a good price. PM me with some offers on what you want and i'l reply quickly.

Thanks again for all the feedback.
