Bumper help

My 99 Camry needs a new rear bumper cover. Body shops around here are quoting me 400 dollars to fix it which i find kind of outrageous. Is there anyway to order a pre- painted toyota bumper since this is definately something I could install my self. Also what is the paint code for a white 99 camry 5sfe.

I suppose u could get a painted rear bumper cover from Dealer. Just give them ur vin#! I know for a fact they can do it with door handles! The paint code is on the drivers front door!

I'm having a used replacement front bumper cover for my 94 Coupe painted as I type this, 120 bucks! I suggest u shop around! U could probably find a used cover at the junk yard cheap!

Thanks for the response. I called every junk yard around me within a 50 mile radius with no luck. I never even thought of checking out the toyota dealer. Im going to head up there tomorrow. Ill keep everyone updated.

About 6 years ago I had this done at a Toyota dealership body shop on my 98 Camry (same as your 99). It was the other person's insurance company paying the bill. The cost was just under $500, so that $400 doesn't sound that high to me. This is the Chicago area, so prices may be a bit higher.

As far as the paint code I believe it is 040, if your car is Super White; but check with the dealer or look for a plaque under the hood or in the door jam with 040 on it to make certain.

Mike
