1998 Camry LE v6 or i4?

Hi!

Can anyone tell me how to tell whether my 1997 Camry LE has a v6 or an i4?

Seems to have plenty of zip, so I'm guessing the v6.

Thank you.

open your hood and see if there are 4 plugs (square) with wire sticking out from the top of the engine (the valve cover). if it does then its a v4.

open your hood and see if there are 3 plugs with wire sticking out in the back
and 3 plugs with wire sticking out in the front. if it does then its a v6

p.s. those wire i mention are your spark plug wires (high tension cord)

It's a 4.

I haven't had much chance to drive it (need to switch registrations first), but it seems to have enough power for me.

I just traded a 1998 Saturn with 70,000 miles for a 1998 Camry LE with 140,000 miles -- and it's a definite step up!
