What SIZE headlight bulbs for my '97?

I am looking at getting a set of 6000K headlights for my '97 Camry. Is this too much power, will it melt my wires? Also, what size bulb do I need? H1, H3, H4, H7, 9004, 9005, 9006, or 9007?

Thanks so much!

-Michael

you'll need H4 bulbs for your car. generally when they talk about 6000k or what not they're talking about color. Its the crappy off brand higher wattage bulbs that will melt your harnesses.

Are you talking about a 6000k HID kit.........or just plain blue bulbs?

Well in that case.........as tinman said, those highwattage bulbs will burnout or melt your harness.

Try Sylvania Silverstas or save for an actual HID kit.

I have heard that the Sylvania's lose their brightness rather quickly. Is that true? Also, where can I get 2 of these bulbs?

I really appreciate the replys!

I haven't noticed either set of my Sylvania bulbs (SilverStar and XtraVision) losing brightness, but my SilverStars did burn out after 9 months...
