Wanna turbo my camry(New here)

Hey guys whats up, im new here as said above. just wanted to say hi and hows everyone doing. and introduce my ride and myself.

well i have a 92 Camry, 4cyl, 5spd. have some mods on it as shown below, but some newer ones as well. clear bumpers, clear&red tails. short ram from a V6 custom fitted.

just some exterior and interior stuff, nothing on engine YET, thats why i joined here.

my engine is going downhill. the back end crank seal leaks...lol. well i dont want to repair it because im planning on buying a new one or even swapping for a 3SGTE.
as for the 5sfe replacing i want to rebuild it, squeeze some more power out of it, but i cant find interiors for it. if anyone has a link can you link it. and for turboing the 5s anyone have comments? should i or not, ive heard they blow up......lol

i googled and stuff and noone really seems to have good info on the 3S swap. if you guys can help out ill really appreciate it.

so far i know(or think) its a drop in, mount wise. but need ecu and wiring harness. i will fab all piping and intercooler mounting putting the engine int he hood not a problem but what id like to know or learn is wiring. how extensive is the re wiring? (lights guages sensors etc.) if anyone can help out ill be rather greatful.

there you go, and search turbo 5sfe and you will get lots of results

you will probably hear both sides, many will say its not worth it because you could switch to the 3sgte or 1mz and probably make around the same power that you would turboing the 5sfe and then you could start from that upper platform, but others will say go for it do something new and so on.

Okay i like the parts that you have, BUT will this thing blow up on me ? i dont mind doing it but dont wanna kill myself and the car -_- lol. whats the success rate on 5SFTE's ? and how long you give me till i blow up.

I turbo'd my 5sfe. I wish I went 3sgte. Not enough potential motor-wise.

Okay thanks red. ive made up my mind, 3sgte swap. found one in scarborough with EVERYTHING. but one thing, would i need to change my driveshafts?? and lol im still lost on the wiring procedures.
this would be my first swap ever, so if i seem like an anoying little noob...lol but i am so please bear and dont flame.

youre going to need the engine, harness, ecu, tranny + misc parts, one or two custom engine mounts to be made ... as well as some other little stuff

just to save everyone time do you have the money for all of this? how much money do you have that you are able to put into this project? if we know your budget we could tell you the best route for your price

Well if someone doesn't buy my turbo shit i might wait awhile and buy a 5SFE powered coupe and turbo it + 5SPD swap it just for shits and giggles.
