3rd Generation Door problems

My passenger side rear door doesn't open from the outside. I discovered the problem with that, the connection from the handle to the latch broke. But the drivers side rear door, doesnt open at all. While unlocked, the outside nor inside handles wont open the door. How can i open the door so i can fix it?

1993CamryLEv6,Passenger side rear door:1. Most likely the connections came off. Open the handle and checked for loose connection.2. If handle broke, go to the junkyard and pick one up or buy it on e-bay. Driver side rear door:1. Open the handle and mostly the latch (yellow plastic) came off. Just pop it back on. 2. Be gentle with the latch (yello plastic), it can be easily broken. Monkey123

No dice. The link from the handle doesnt release the catch to open the door.

Well the door didnt use to open from the inside only the outside, so my dad put on the child lock to see if it would fix it, and it didnt fix it. It made it worse.

OK, so when you remove the door panel and disconnect the inside and outside handle and pull on the linkage to the latch itself, the door still doesn't open. First, I'd try spraying some WD-40 or something on the latch. If that works then pull the latch out and clean and lubricate it.

Also, maybe there is some tension on the latch where it hooks onto that striker. Try getting someone to keep opening tension on the linkage to the latch while someone else trys pushing in on the door or lifting the door or even twisting the door to change the pressure where the latch connects to the striker. If that works then you need to readjust the door and/or hook.

If the child safety mechanism has failed I don't know if you can jimmy it or not.

perhaps it might help if you took off the door panel on the other door and use it to compare and see whats broken in the bad one -
