UK Promax X-chip

Has anyone any knowledge of the above chip, sold for either improving V6 (1994 55K miles) performance by 28bhp, or improving economy?
It has to be connected to the Intake air temperature sensor. Before I fit this, I would like any comments on its ability to live up to promised operation.
Thanks for any help.

no chips work for the camry period. you will end up either just losing power and/or having your fuel economy go to the crapper... and thats if it doesnt really screw something up. Stay away from chips.

A simple SEARCH could have yielded the same results found in the 2 posts above.

Any "Chip" that just hooks up to the intake temp sensor is not a chip, it is a resistor in series with the sensor trying to fool the ecu into thinking that the air is cooler, and thus dumping in more fuel. The two problems here are that 1) it is not tuning your car, it is trying to flood it with gas, and 2) Toyota ECUs recognize these devices and re-tune them selfs to ignore them and continue to run exactly as before.

Of course there is that one mod where you solder in a potentiometer adjustable up to 500 Ohms into the coolant temp, or something like that so the ECU thinks the engine is colder than it is.
