Bad News from Tokico

so ... i said screw all this bs and i just called up Tokico myself ... bypass all the retailers and whatnot

just got off the phone ... and long story short, they have not yet MADE any of the Tokico HP Suspension Kits (HPK355 and so on) for the Camry, and so if i try to order them from any retailer ... they will be on backorder until Tokico gets at least 25 orders

well, i dont see 24 other people buying a Tokico Suspension Kit anytime soon for the 95-96 Toyota Camry .... so i guess i have to abandon that project

so ... where does this put me now?

I think im going to still get the Tokico HP struts/shocks .... but now i need to figure out wtf i want in terms of Springs

i know a lot of you will say go Eibach and H&R, but honestly ... if im going to get aftermarket springs, i think im going to want more of a drop ... which is hard to find, because i also want progressive springs that will give decent comfort

the Tokico springs were going to be similar to H&Rs, yes ... but i was only getting them because i wanted the security of getting a packaged deal ... so now im back to Ground Zero

damnit man, well like i said in the pm, friggin people i went thru told me it was all on backorder after stringin me along all week, now i think ill get the h&r's from tire rack, i can get teins in ebay cheaper but im so not in the mood to deal with more delays, i called tire rack and delaware is the only warehouse with the h&r's in stock...anyways i think ill do those, brakes and a rsb, and then start saving up to replace the shocks, cause as we both know, the package deal was gonna cost almost the same as what just the shocks cost....

btw there IS a set of kyb/vogtlands package deal on ebay for your ride, just not mine, the only package deal for mine in ebay is gabriels and vogtland...

for those of you reading this who have aftermarket springs (that arent H&R or Eibach), do you have sagging problems? do you have an even drop, or is it raked? if it is raked, is it highly noticeable or does it have a similar angle to factory? any other details i should know about?

Sorry to hear that Venom. I was looking forward to seeing how those were going to work out on your cam.

Pretty lame that those kits are being advertised when they're not even being manufactured.

Nope, it would be hard to get separate components for under $500. About the best total cost I've come up with for H&Rs + Tokicos is around $570.

Vogtland is for the V6 only ....

unfortunately, i cant find a company that makes good Springs with a good drop that dont sag :-(

i might have to go with H&R Sports ... which i dont like that much

You can get the Tokicos for $319 delivered from this seller on eBay.

The have a very good feedback rating.

Yeah, you could get KYBs for about the same price from Tire Rack. $282 + shipping.
