3rd Generation Opinion on Gen3 Coupe For Sale. Convincing parents to let me get it.

I found a really clean Gen3 Coupe on craigslist the other day, and it's very clean. The guy is selling it for $3950. I told my dad about it and he looked it up on kbb, and it said it's worth around $2000. Now I don't know how to convince him that it's a good deal. Well first off, I don't know that much about Gen 3's, so is this a good deal for $3950?

1994 Toyota Camry LE 2-Door Coupe.
V-6 Automatic,
A/C,
Power Steeering,
Tilt Wheel,
Power Door Locks and Windows,
Cruise Control,
Power Sunroof,
Leather Seats,
Lumbar on Drivers Side,
Kenwood 6 CD Changer and Deck with Cassette also,
4 New Matching Tires,
184k Miles.

It has been serviced regularly and maticulously maintained.

This is a very clean car with plenty of power and it runs great!

The only reason we are selling it we bought a larger 4-Door vehicle.

a little high for the mileage, but the price is right

i would sell my 1995 LE 4-door 4cyl (with less factory add-ons than the car you pictured) for around $3500 .... 137k miles

It's just because KBB lists it's trade in value as WAYY lower, that's why they won't let me get it. He says the guy is asking too much. wtf.

my car is worth a bit more, despite the factory upgrades, because 184000 miles is a lot in KBB terms

I would recommend telling your parents they are dumbasses for looking at trade in value on a private party sell.

Hell no, not worth it.

185K for 4000???? That's crazy.

Your dad is smart, get a lower mileage one. Waiting is worth it.

Nice car but way too many miles on that car for $4000. Your father has a point in general. Keep searching and when you find a better one post it up so the guys here will say it's good or not.
