Unhappy 93 Camry WAGON - shocks/struts?

Seasick motion in 93 Camry Wagon?

I recently purchased a 93 Camry station wagon. It's generally in great shape but I find that, as the driver, I am starting to feel the onset of seasickness.

It has new Michelin tires, all around.

I checked the struts/shock absorbers by bouncing on the bumpers at the corners. They seem to be fine.

I think the light tail tends to float up on a bump. I'm leaning towards installing shock absorbers in the tail with stronger damping.

Does this analysis jive with your experience? What do you recommend?

How many miles on it? Can you tell if the struts and shocks are original? I've found that, for me at least, the bounce test isn't completely indicative of the need for replacement.

I fully agree ^. The "bounce test" works well with big American cars of yore. But even though my Camry's struts were toast, it didn't look too bad when I did the bounce test.

Do you have a picture of your car? One easy way to tell is by how low it sits when the struts are worn. Do you scrape on speed bumps that a normal car should clear?
