4th Generation replacing transmission indicator lights???

...not the one on the gauge cluster (they work fine), but the lights next to the shifter. All of the lights next to the shifter don't light up when the shifter is in the respectable gear. I'm sure its just the light bulbs burnt out. I dont really know what I would need to do in order to get to the bulbs.

Could someone tell me how to do this? Sorry, I'm not familiar with these cars as it is my dad's and he would like me to fix this for him. thanks.

park car, ignition off, pop off the shifter release tab (see owners manual) and push down, slide trans stick to N area.

Pry off the trim cover closest to arm rest all the way to ashtray.
Lift off and look for bulb (I remember mine was on a yellow clip)
