USA Oil leak in 98 camry at Right side of engine...

My hubby's camry has a bad leak..It has been leaking for a while, but we could never discover the leak.. The leak began after we changed the Timing belt at the dealer( we no longer live in the state to take it back there), now the leak is much more and last night hubby and neighbor went under hood and discovered the leakk is coming from the side of the right side of the motor.. My neighbor is a good mechanic, and he is going to go in there and see if the seal is missing or what. Any suggestions , ideas would be great . Thanks

Look under the timing cover to see if there is oil in there. If so, there is an oil pump seal in there, a Cam seal and a main engine seal. Any or all could be the culprit.

Also, loose nuts on the spark plug tubes. Tighten to 17 ft lbs.

And make sure you change the rubberband type seal behind the oil pump too.

Might be an oil pump drive shaft seal. The oil would only drip when the engine was running making it tough to find with engine off.
