3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was wondering if any of you guys knew or had an idea of how this guy got his tail lights to light up in circles? Did he use LEDs and that's what made the little cirlces on the tail lights? Here's the video:
Also, is there a way to make all 3 of the lights in the tail light up all at once instead of only 2? I'm trying to figure out if you make the rear turn signal light up all the time with the other tail lights and then blink whenever you make a turn. I want to red out the turn signal. I'm trying to have all red tail lights and have red turn signals instead of the amber turn signals. I have a 92 DX if that helps with anything.
EDIT: Clarifying the above^: ok let's start out simple...driver's side tail light. On the Gen3 Camry there are 3 tail lights...a red side marker, a amber turn signal, and a rear stop light that directly faces the driver behind you. With the lights on, while driving only the side marker and rear stop light light up, even when braking. The amber light is in the center of these 2 lights and only lights up when you flip your turn signal. What I'm trying to do is red out my amber light, thus giving me all red tail lights. Next, I would like to make that turn signal light up ALL the time when my lights are on and not only when I flip my turn signal. Understand!
Thanks

I clarified what I was trying to say in my original description. I hope that makes more sense. I would take a pic of my tail lights to show more clearly what I'm trying to say but my car is in the shop. If anybody has or can take a pic of their Gen3 tail light at night and post it to give other peeps a better idea that would be great!
Thanks

o if you want all red tails, most likely it was painted...your going to have to sand down your current lights or spare and paint it red that way the amber sections becomes red and about staying on when then tail-lights come on just like the fornt turn signals..i have no idea

why not PM tony(tonythetiger) and ask him how he did it??
if ur just trying to get the turnsignals to act as parking lights, then just wire them in with the parking lights. but not with the tails. the tails have 2 signals that switch between parking and stop that activates when i hit the brakes. if u wire them up to the little parking lights on side then they will lite up when the parking lights are tuned on.
