3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Been looking into buying a bodykit for my car but really not to sure about this through my searches I have only found kits for the 4-door version of this car, now im just wondering if anyone knows if the 4 door kit will fit the 2door and if anyone has tried it.
from what i have heard, it should fit some both 4 doors and 2 doors have the same wheel base.
and you'll probably get slammed for not using the search button..

To answer the question a little more accurately (i own a coupe) The 4DR bodykit DOES NOT fit the coupe properly. The Front and rear bumpers are fine, but the Side skirts do not fit properly. You will need to modify the skirts to get them to fit (and they still don't look as good as if they were made for it).
That being said, they can be made to work. Milt and I both have fully kitted coupes.
Haha, By the way. MD is my house! There is only room for one sexy coupe here!

thats a little more along the lines of a totally different answer then weve given wheel base is exactly the same between the 4 and 2 door. there are only a couple sideskirts that wont fit both that i know of and i dont even think you can get em anymore.
what do u mean by modify? the wheelbase is the same so no shortning should be needed. unless ur talking about the types that are molded to run up the fenders slightly and must shape to the doors. in that case i can see how that wouldnt look that good.
EDIT: heres an example of a stated 4 door kit on a coupe, look at the pics on the botom of the page and hey...the green car is a coupe. this is the first ive herd of kits not being interchangable between the 2 and 4 door with a few exceptions.
Trust me boss, everyone i've ever seen put side skirts on a coupe has said they need modification. The four door and the two door having the same wheel base is irrelevant. The door sills and door length, not to mention the area under the B=Pillar is laid out differently and the skirts don't fit like they do on the 4DR. Also i was AT the shop during the install of the side skirts, i told them how to modify them to correct the fitment issues. I'm not talking out my ass :p. Milt's skirts are modified too.
On mine, the lip that is used to mount the skirts in the door sills has to be trimmed or it won't fit the coupe's doors. Also there was some other trimming involved, but that was mostly a manufacture thing vs a 2dr-4dr fitment difference.
Also, if you read the caption's on most of those sites they specifically say that the cars pictured are highly modified and may differ in appearance or fitment from what you get :p.
Besides, as i said. They DO fit, just not properly. It can be done without a serious drain in time, or your wallet. I just wanted to explain to him that it's not a simple bolt on procedure. Why do you all think felkjamine had 1 off skirts made for his coupe? Why do you think Allen was going to make one-off skirts for his coupe? Why do you think all those sites specifically say 4DR? If it was interchangeable they probably wouldn't bother.

IIRC the razzi sides mount so they are almost UNDER the car (i remember thinking they looked atrocious). I can't remeber who has a car that is a perfect example of what i mean. But all the ones that mount flush with the side of the car require some work to fit.

I think it just depends on the skirts- razzi sides will fit both.
