3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
they should because to my knowledge; the difference in 4 and 4.5 is the front end and the rear - das all. The cabin is pretty much the same. Used OEM- prolly like $60 at most.
Gen 4.0 don't have those tweeters built-in (my '97 doesn't, my mom's '00 does). You might have to take the door apart to be able to wire them up, 'cuz I doubt Gen 4.0 has the wires already there.
i wanted some of those for my gen 3.5 wonder if they will fit..
if it does fit, just splice into the door speakers.

I can get them for $50..I'll get them tomorrow.. And figure it out to conect them..
thanks guys..I'll come back with some more questions to install it..
T So as you can see in the pic, they have a plug..Do you think that there is a plug somewhere behind the panel ????Should I just connect the to the front speakers ???? or I need to get some wires from the stereo ???

I don't remember the exact configuration of the wiring in the door for the tweets in my Gen 4.5. I only remember that they were connected in parallel to the woofers in the door. The tweet should have a filtering cap on it somewhere.
The weird thing about the photo you posted above is that it looks like the tweeter is built into that panel. On the Gen 4.5, the panel just had a grill and the tweeter was on a bracket fastened to two of the bolts that hold the outside mirror on.
As for Gen 4.5, the tweeters were stock on my LE. Per the window sticker, the stereo is the stock, non-upgraded stereo. Damn, why do I still have the window sticker for a car I totaled over a year ago
