they should because to my knowledge; the difference in 4 and 4.5 is the front end and the rear - das all. The cabin is pretty much the same. Used OEM- prolly like $60 at most.

Gen 4.0 don't have those tweeters built-in (my '97 doesn't, my mom's '00 does). You might have to take the door apart to be able to wire them up, 'cuz I doubt Gen 4.0 has the wires already there.

Gotta be honest, that was a pretty vague reply.
Were they stock? Or did you add them? If you added them, did you have to wire them?

On gen4 the tweeters were part of premium audio option (AM/FM/CD Cassette)

On gen4.5, every model (CE/LE/XLE) had AM/FM/CD Cassette as standard equipment, but the tweeters only came on LE and XLE models.

Interesting. I wonder if there's some sort of correlation between Gen4.0s having or not having those tweeters. My '97 LE doesn't.

I don't remember the exact configuration of the wiring in the door for the tweets in my Gen 4.5. I only remember that they were connected in parallel to the woofers in the door. The tweet should have a filtering cap on it somewhere.

The weird thing about the photo you posted above is that it looks like the tweeter is built into that panel. On the Gen 4.5, the panel just had a grill and the tweeter was on a bracket fastened to two of the bolts that hold the outside mirror on.

As for Gen 4.5, the tweeters were stock on my LE. Per the window sticker, the stereo is the stock, non-upgraded stereo. Damn, why do I still have the window sticker for a car I totaled over a year ago
