Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i'm looking for a diagram of the routing of the brake lines for a 93 Camry SE. the vehicle is equipped with abs and has the rear LSPV(load sensing proportioning valve). if someone has pics that would be fine too!
thanks for the pic!! yes, on my 93 SE V6 the vehicle is equipped with abs and uses a load sensing proportioning valve. the unit is mounted to the rear under body and uses a lever and a spring that are attatched to the left rear outward lateral control rod. as the suspension flexes under hard braking it will rise as teh nose dips, causing something to happen in lspv. i can post a pic tonight of what i'm lookign at. i'm replacing the brake lines.
hmm...that is actually really neat....and probably specific to the SE braking system as well...
I could see that being a pretty neat function since it seems to "feel" the rise of the rear of the car, and presumably, then put more braking power to the rear through transfer of the brake fluid

but I would have liked to see some comparisons between hte performance of the cars without that little feature and the ones without...I can see flatter braking and cornering with the system, but also possible worse straight line stopping...
ah, speculations, speculations...

ok, the article states that the 92 camry XLE stops from 70-0 in 178ft and the 93 Camry SE V6 with a 5spd stops form 70-0 in 180ft. doesnt state whether eithe has abs or not.
