suggestions for these wheels

i just bought some 17x7.5 with the bolt pattern of 5X114.3 and the offset is +45 wheels for my 97 camry le. does anyone know the offset of my car and what are the specifications of the tires do you guys suggest i buy? thanks^__^

the offset of those wheels shouldn't be a problem. as far as tires, it all depends on you. if you want to have that normal look, you can try buying 215/45/17, if you're wondering what it'll look like at the end. just look at the OEM wheels from a Lexus IS 300 (2004 body styles), if you want your tires stretched or agressive, you can probably go with some 205/40/17. but then again. it's all personal preference. you have a huge amount of options as far as tires.

thanks, i was planning to get some 215s.... but i dont know how to read what fits the tires... i tried to look for 215/45/17 means and i have a vague idea but can you elaborate on what those numbers mean?

for the rim width that you have... the most common fitment sizes are either... 215/45/17 ... 225/40/17 ... 225/45/17

when reading tires, it's pretty simple.

(example) 215/45/17
215 ===> the width of the tires
45 ===> how thick the sidewall of the tire is
17 ===> the size of the rim

depending on how you want your tires to look on your car, you can either get the normal look like the IS 300 like i mentioned earlier. or you can go with that thin tire look.

if you have a pic of your car and the actual rims, i might be able to help you decide, if necessary. just let me know.

i already took your advice and got some 215/45/17's the people at the shop[ said that it'll look pretty cool on the 17"s. thanks for your advice
