Hi,

My 1999 camry has problems, stalling at idle (randomly). From the other threads by Daniel, it is suggested to spray "Tri-flow lubricant with Teflon" into the small square hole in induction area.

- Is this safe to use this lubricant to engine, O2 sensors and other components?

- Has anyone tried using this kind of lubricant in IAC? What are the results? How long did it work without problems after this fix?

- Can we use "DuPont™ Teflon™ Multi-Use Lubricant", instead of Tri-flow? Is it better compared to Tri-flow?

never heard of using lubricants on the IAC- if anything, I think that it would clog it up faster since more carbon would stick to the lube and then jam it open/close

but more so, I would not spray any kind of lubricant that can get into the engine, as you'd be asking for possible problems

your best bet is to just use plenty of carb/throttlebody cleaner to get all the carbon deposits out
