windshield wipers not working

The girlfriend had someone pull out in front of her again today. I went to where she was at so she could use my truck to get back to work. I am not familiar with the car I got in and drove it home but the windshield wipers wouldnt work at all. After I got it home I checked all the fuses the ones under the dash and under the hood. I couldnt find any bad fuses is there another fuse block or something else I should be looking for? I did notice after checking the fuses the wipers would work if you pull the lever that turns on the washer and and wipers at the same time. I would like to get this fixed so I can drive it to the body shop its raining sideways right now.

i had the same problem, turns out the nuts holding the wiper arms on were loose, so try tightening them down.

That was quick I just posted this less than 5 minutes ago. I will check that but I dont think that is the problem since they do work when you hit the washer switch. I will let you know in about 5 minutes

The bolts are really tight. I think its an electrical issue.

another problem might be a loose wire under your fuse in the dash. Take out the wiper fuse and see if there is a wire there. Mine had the wiper motor ground wire wrapped around the fuse base, so it needs to make a good solid connection there to work.
