Australia Cantral locking remote - changing battery

I have a 1998 Vienta Vxi and I need to change the battery in the remote thingo for the central locking. I've tried prying at it but have stopped just short of breaking the thing. Does anyone know the correct way to open this up ?

My 98 Camry Key remote has two small phillips ... cross type screws on one side... Did you take a good look at yours?

Aus Cam's use a sealed remote locking unit so you're gonna hafta replace the whole thing and get it reprogramed.
cost you round bout $30 for the remote and the same to program it or just program it yourself it's quite easy.

Thanks guys. The remote is a one button seperate unit (ie not attached to the key), and is sealed - well, it was sealed until I finally managed to force it apart. I was quite annoyed to find that you just aren't meant to replace the battery, it is attached via tiny spot welds. I'm gonna have a go at putting in a new battery using some heatshrink and some hot glue then will glue the whole thing back together. btw the remote still works, it's just got a pityful range now. Why would anyone design a remote without a replaceable battery?? or maybe the car isn't meant to last as long as a lithium battery. In case I kill it, how do you program a new remote ?
