3rd Generation Why I hate one way streets.

As some of you know, I recently got my license back, it was revoked due to some health issues i was dealing with over the summer. My first day in Minneapolis with my car was going alright, I was cruising around 26th and Nicollet, completely oblivious to the signage around me and I turn the WRONG way onto a one way street. Once I realized all the cars were the opposite way I overreacted. Slamming on my brakes and turning on slippery pavement does not work so well. I ended up ramming a snowbank that was mostly ice, and one side of my bumper has some fancy spider webbing and my clear corner light is completely smashed.

I really wonder why I put myself through this crap. I have no pics to put up due to my digital camera being lost. It's all on the passenger side though.

As I was reading, I thought you were going to end up hitting one of the oncoming cars or something. Good thing no one was injured.

I know how you feel (about the snowbank part). I was making a turn a little going a little to fast for the slushy road conditions, and plowed through at least 10 feet of the snowbank on the side of the road, I swear I thought I was going to hit the metal posts sticking out on the side of the road, luckily there wasn't any visible damage though..

Yeah, I shoulda taken the hint when a taxi driver honked at me and motioned to go ahead. And.. I am very thankful I didn't hit anybody or anything other than the snowbank. I can replace the clear corners and repair the bumper.
