Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
From first glance it could either be a relay for some of the lights, possibly the turn signals, or perhaps a computer for controlling the lights. I'm just guessing here, lol
EDIT: I just looked at the photo I took of my 1994 V6 Camry and this is what it looks like:
I'm not sure if yours being OBDI and mine being OBDII makes the difference or not though.
Well. What does it correspond to? What or where are the wires running to...is it the back of the gas gauge?

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.
--Can honestly go to a parts counter and ask for brake shoes for the front brakes.

That's the back of the right side of the gauge cluster. So, that thing would be connected to the speedometer. It doesn't look like it has any direct connection to the fuel gauge though, which would be the 3 screws next to the red wire. My best guess would be something to do with cruise control. It could be the speed sensor for the cruise control computer.
