Everyone check your 1MZ-FEs for this missing plug!!

I've asked before and got no response. My 1999 Solara SLE V6 auto is missing a plug here... I asked another dude from Solaraguy and he says his has a plug plugged into it. There's no extra plugs in the engine bay and I'm confused as to what this is for. I know it has something to do with the coolant. Thanks for your help!! PLEASE GO CHECK YOUR CARS!

Yeah thanks. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my CEL, PO135 bank 1 sensor 1, oxygen sensor. IF someone does take a pic of where your plug comes from exactly I'll appreciate it.

THANKS SO MUCH!! I'M GOING TO LOOK INTO THIS. For some reason there's no such wire attached to that same harness. I'm going to have to cut open that wire loom and check inside. I do know the engine was messed with (used car) the engine was replaced and such. Anyone know how to get the VIN# off of the engine? I'd like to run a car fax on the engine. (or car it was attached to)

I don't know. They plug into the side of the thermostat housing... the one on the side has a skinny prong. Here's a superview of that pic. I cropped and brightened it!!

looks like someones had an engine replaced. See the silver triangle shaped thing inside the hole on the head (left middle of the picture, there is a big black wire running over it)

That is placed there to let the people who sold the engine know if it has been overheated. Hate to say it, but if the plug is nowhere to be found you might have some wiring to do...
