REST IN PEACE STYLE WAGON (car)

So I had handed down 1993 camry, which i traded in for a 1994 Wagon. 2nd time i drove it, i was stopped at a light, had to go up a hill, so light turns green, i start going, get to about 2500 rpm and still accelerating, start going up the hill, reach 3000 rpm, then drops back down to 2500, then goes back up to 3000 like normal then drops to 2500, so i shift into neutral rev it to about 6k let it drop to 2000, shift back into drive and it drove normal. Then today i was highway driving, and it seemed it was shifting alot more than normal. I kept on having the pedal to the metal and not gaining any speed, or losing any. So i leave a toll booth, and have a hard time getting back up to 60, then something on it blew. Smoke everyhwere, sounded like parts were falling out, so i coast off the highway onto the onramp, pull over, call parents, wait about 2 hours for a wrecker and get home. So now i have to drive something else till i get it repaired... very sad indeed... anyclue whats wrong?

there was ALOT of smoke pouring out of here, smells like burnt oil

nope, but the car might be gone. it just got a brand new engine (still under warranty) so i might be able to get it replaced. But if it's like the powertrain problems, and its too expensive, then ill just sell it and buy a new camry. Only thing worth saving on the stylewagon is the 2000 avalon wheels.
