so i took out the stock cd player in my 99.. and put in a panasonic.. it sounds great and everything looks and works great. i just have one problem.. when ever i am using my sirius radio i hear the stock door tweeters cracking.. this happens even at half volume, but not on every channel.. and i have not noticed it when i play cds.. im thinking that the cd plsyer i got does not have a good equalizer built in to enable the tweeters. bc when you buy 2 or more way speaker the crossover for the tweeters is built in.. any thoughts?

replace all your factory speaker and you'll be good...

The stock tweeters have a filtering capacitor on them but the mids don't have any type of filtering.

The Panasonic HU could be putting out more power than the stock speakers can handle.

But, you said this only happens when using your Sirius radio? Doesn't happen with the CD player and doesn't happen when you use FM or AM radio? That sounds more like a problem with your Sirius or the connection between it and your HU or something.

yeah this only happens when I use my Sirius radio. But not on every channel. Its not that the speakers can't handle it, bc this happens even if the sound is turned down.
