Tranny Questions
Alright guys I have some questions. I completely destroyed my tranny this week on what I am reluctant to say is just thinking I wasn't going to keep my car that long and thinking it was bulletproof. So after some research and weighing my options I have decided to rebuild. I took it to the guy that I trust to do my work. He redid my best friends dads A8 Tranny and he is very happy with it. I figured that for only $1400 for the rebuild it wasn't that bad, heck it was going to be $1000 for a used tranny with no warranty (all prices include labor). My question is what do I need to make sure is done that I wouldn't think of off hand? is there anything else I should have have checked while everything else is apart? The price didn't seem bad from what I've read but I am open to comments on that too. Any other input you guys have is welcome. By the way the car is a 96 Collectors Edition V6 that was built in japan. Thanks in advance TN.
