Just installed Trunk Pop Solenoid in my Camry (see pictures)

I know this is about the third tunk pop solenoid tutorial. But in this case I had extra pictures and made an emphisis on running the wire.

http://s22.photobucket.com/alb...b307/hzaidi1/trunkpop/ <Click slideshow the pictures have already been orderd

This is a great tutorial for those who happen to install an alarm or remote start and want to use some of the extra features of your alarm to pop your trunk remotley. If you don't have one you will need a trunk pop solenoid. You can get them off ebay for 10 to 15 bucks. This thing pulls a lot of amps so you will also need a relay as well.

I think the most important thing was running the wiring. I took the extra step of pulling off all my various modling to make sure I run it along the exiting wiring. I also zip tied like hell. The car only has about 30 or so K on it so I'm going to be keeping it for a long time. In pictures 1 - 9 I indicating where the wires were running. In the pictures labeled FIN was the finished product.

My remote start hasen't came in the mail yet. I will wire the trunk wire to a solenoid which will then go to my remote start. That is why the knee bolster of my car appears missing.

Unfortunatley I can't find a way of adjusting it so that it will pop open. If I put a spring on it it will swing open so much to crack the rear windshield. A shock would work about I don't want the extra presure of pushing it down.
