First post, love this forum

Hello everyone,
I am a new member. 96 Camry with 256,000 miles. I have been reading your posts for a while now. I just placed my order at Toyota cheap parts. I have to do the timing belt again. More than that I have to fix the apparent oil pump leak that I have. I have read posts on the oil pump leak and viewed pics from some of you. I look forward to changing the belt, crank and cam seals, both pulleys, water pump, thermostat, oil pump gasket and shaft seal this coming weekend. I will let you know how it goes. I have done the timing belt and seals before but not the water and oil pump.

Thanks for all the advice,
Love this forum

Take pictures as you go if you can...the more pictures/tutorials...the easier it is for others to conquer these jobs!

Thanks!

I would be curious how long it takes you. I have thought about trying this as well but I don't know if I can have my car down this long.

good luck

and it astounds me how many of the 5sfe oil pump o-rings seem to leak...I guess we 1mzfe guys are lucky with that....except that doing the timing belt is twice as hard otherwise

I will keep time and take a couple pics.

This is the first oil pump leak I have had, if it is the oil pump. 250,000 miles
