3rd Generation Power seat broken - 95 camry

The power button to move the driver's seat forward and backwards has stopped working, even though the power tilt in the same seat still works.

My feet can't reach the pedals and my husband is sick of driving me to the grocery store.

Has anyone encountered this problem (of the broken power seat) before? Any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks,
Julie

If it is the switch you should be able to disassemble it and short the proper wires to activate the seat motor. Adjust it to where you want, reassemble the switch and it will be "stuck" where you want it. If you use the front/back adjustment a lot but not the tilt you could probably swap the wires and use the tilt position to adjust the front/back.

Another option would be to go to a junkyard and get a new seat, should just bolt in. I know that my '95 LE has a mechanical seat, you just pull up on a metal bar and scoot the seat.

I actually prefer this over power seats because, as you know, power seats break.
