Talking Can't find the winshield washer resevoir.

Spend two days diving in in junk yards looking for a goddamn windshield washer resevoir.
Came out whith some weird other stuff but no tank. Most gone, leftover were cracked.
Who has a link to a website that seals the real thin. I have a 93 Japanese Assembled with no ABS V6, Someone please point a site out that isn't going to charge tooooo much.
I am tired of buying crap, want to use something that works right. Thanks.
Also off topic, any recommends for HD Radio units? Car thieve got into my car and broke a lot of shit includeing trying to jimmy the cd payer, they gave up when it broke.

Yeah, try ebay.

But how much were you looking to spend on a new head unit?

Just take out the reservoir and seal it up with some epoxy glue. It’s not exactly a highly visible item on your car, all that matters is that it holds windshield washer fluid without leaking. A dual tube of epoxy will run $3 or so at your local hardware store.

With regard to the radio, when looking be sure to also look for a radio that has a USB port on it. You can plug in a flash drive loaded with music / podcasts, it’s extremely convenient.

Or if you have an iPod, look at an Alpine. I've had one for about 2yrs and I love it.

Epoxy Glue will make a perfect plastic scar for that.

Even if he doesn't have an iPod, check out the Alpine CDA 9886 which is what I will probably end up putting in my '99 Accord - I'm just waiting for the price to drop a little (it's currently $299).

The CDA 9886 has a rear-mounted USB port - you would take a cord and either have it come out in that little pocket under the cup holders, or in the glove box. And of course, it will control iPods.

And again, just epoxy that fluid reservoir. I've rebuit a taillight on my old Volvo using epoxy, it is some great stuff (it was either use epoxy to put the pieces back together, or pay $80 or so for a new one).

If you don't want to have to route a USB cable, there are a number of units out there with front panel USB ports. My JVC has a front mount USB so you can just stick a thumb drive in and go. No getting into the glove box, etc. Unless of course you prefer having it in the glove box for some reason
